Cloud Computing – Serving Organizational Needs

It provides an ability to run an application or a program on a cluster of servers. This allows users to run the application sitting anywhere in the world, as the server is connected to a network via Internet and also provides the processing power to the application. Cloud computing has three models—Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

SaaS – This constitutes CRM (Customer Relation Management), Virtual desktop, E-mail, Games etc. It is rightly called as “on-demand software” and the pricing is done on pay-per-use basis.

PaaS – This includes web-server, database, execution run-time etc. Application developers get the privilege to run and manage their software without buying the underlying hardware and software layers.

IaaS – Covers virtual machines, load balancers, servers, storage etc.

Cloud computing services are proving quite beneficial in today’s world offering many advantages:-

Scalability – Providing as much support as your site needs, keeping degradation of service out of picture.

Better Control – Cloud computing offers various customization's – installing applications and modifying system software as per requirement.

Less Cost – You pay for what you use. No extra cost unlike dedicated server.

Cloud computing service providers offer state-of-the-art customizable facilities and earning huge profits in this booming market of cloud computing services
